Thank you all for your insightful comments. And for sharing this experience with me. I always feel slightly ashamed about feeling angry. Sharing my feelings and hearing about your anger makes me feel acknowledged. As if I'm sitting around a fire with all of you, content to be who I am, glad be known.
Jen said the words I was searching for. The words that made everything make sense again.
"‘for me, it's not about being right. it's about being understood.”

Yes! I do the same. When I realize what is making me so upset, or angry, or sad, I can deal with it so much better. The hard part if discovering the center of it all.
Perfect. As usual. I'm exactly the same way.
Great insight!
I agree when we learn what makes us upset, sad or angry then we can deal with it much better.
Glad to know that you're OK now.
p.s.
I was looking at my Technorati account and I just learned that I was on your blogroll. I am so touched! Thank you so much! I am truly, truly grateful...
Thank you... :)
That Jen is good people, isn't she?
yes...being understood...
Jen's comment was right on. Definitely. It is always about being understood.
Anger. I've always thought of anger as existing so we know we feel violated somehow.
Peace,

amen. it's amazing, isn't it...how it can all shift in a blink of an eye once we understand and allow for understanding.
being seen. big gigantic hug to you.
I feel I could tolerate and control those angry feelings if I didn't have an extra scoop of guilt on top. Ya know? I don't know why we feel that we must always be high. What I'm trying to work on is fully experiencing my emotions, then letting them go. When I fight them, they often seem to last longer than they should.
On another note, I just tagged you pretty lady. So if you feel like sharing 8 random facts about yourself, I'd love to hear them.
I do hope you're doing better hel.
Glad you're feeling better.
I feel that way, too -- once I identify why I'm so angry, then I'm less angry.
